back to checklists

1.
Schedule all hair and makeup
appointments early enough
that you, your family and
the bridesmaids won’t
be starting late for your
pre-wedding photo session
even if the appointments with
the hairdresser run longer
than they planned.
2.
Remember to have your flowers
delivered to the site that
you will begin taking your
photographs. (Your House,
Hotel, Church-where-ever it
may be) This gives you a chance
to have some photographs taken
with the flowers you have
spent a lot of money on- while
they are fresh, and it gives
you something to do with your
hands. You’ll put them
down at the reception- so
your time with them is limited.
3.
Let your families and wedding
party members know what time
they are expected to begin
taking photographs, and where
they should arrive- dressed
and ready to go. If your group
tends to be late- suggest
that they arrive 20 minutes
ahead of the time they are
really needed.
4.
Give yourselves ample time
for your pre-ceremony photographs
and formal altar return photographs.
The time varies from group
to group because of the number
of people involved. If you’d
like we should be able to
provide you with a suggested
time guide. Remember if you
cut short the time you have
planned, photos may be missed
and the variety in posing
will be limited.
5.
Remind family members and
the wedding party to stay
at the ceremony site for “altar
returns” after your
ceremony. Hunting someone
down, or fining out that a
key player has headed off
to the reception, can make
taking all the photographs
you’d like to have taken
impossible in a short amount
of time. And we all know that
you want to get to your party,
and enjoy the rest of the
day! You can bet that we want
that for you too.
6.
If you have hired a videographer-
Please remind your videographer
to capture your guests, and
the empty reception hall during
the cocktail hour, while you
are having your after ceremony
photographs taken. That way
you don’t have double
coverage of the still shots,
and you do get to peek at
what you otherwise would miss.
7.
Please provide us with a list
of any special people you
want to have photographs taken
of, such as your favorite
Great Aunt, the old college
gang, your work crew, etc.
Select someone who can act
as the liaison to the photographer
to point out these people-
don’t expect to do this
yourself.
8.
Final Tip-Be specific in your
wants, likes and needs- communicate.
Then relax and enjoy your
wedding day.
